SEO Services - Professional Website Optimization
Website SEO services - increase Google visibility and attract more customers
An SEO audit starts at $790 as a one-off, and ongoing SEO from $650 per month. The audit gives you a prioritised list of fixes you are free to implement yourself. Expect first results in three to six months — anyone promising page one within a month is either targeting terms nobody searches for, or risking a penalty.
I start with an audit, not a retainer
I do not sell ongoing SEO to someone who does not need it yet. In most cases a site has technical problems blocking everything else — and until those are fixed, paying for content and links is money thrown away.
The audit gives you a prioritised list of specific fixes. You can implement it yourself, hand it to your own developer, or leave it with me. All three are fine and none require signing anything.
What the audit covers
- Indexing — whether Google can see every page that matters, and whether it is wasting crawl budget on pages that should not be indexed
- Core Web Vitals — real load times on mobile, not a lab score
- Structure and internal linking — whether authority reaches the pages meant to earn
- Content against competitors — what the current top ten have that you do not
- Structured data — whether you qualify for rich results at all
- Language versions — if you have several, whether Google knows they are variants of the same page
Three faults I find most often
Ranking for terms nobody searches. It is easy to reach number one for "professional comprehensive business solutions". Nobody types that. Checking real search volume takes fifteen minutes and should precede any work.
Blocked resources in robots.txt. Surprisingly often there is a Disallow on the directory holding stylesheets and scripts. Googlebot then renders the page as bare HTML and judges something entirely different from what a visitor sees.
Unguarded third-party scripts. A single unresponsive analytics host can stall a page for tens of seconds. I have fixed exactly that: a dead statistics server holding DOMContentLoaded for 20 seconds, which left everything below the hero invisible and Core Web Vitals in ruins.
What ongoing work looks like
A typical month mixes three things: clearing technical problems that appear as the site changes, expanding content around terms with real potential, and watching what competitors are doing. Once a month you get a summary with actual positions — not a "visibility" graph, which can be drawn to say anything.
When SEO is not for you
Saying this plainly saves us both time.
If nobody searches for your service — and that is checkable before you spend anything — put the money into advertising, industry relationships, or wherever your customers actually are. I do talk clients out of SEO, and I consider that more honest than taking work that cannot pay for itself.
If you need results this month — SEO will not deliver them. Google Ads might, and I would rather help you set that up than sell a retainer that starts working around the time you stop caring.
If the site is technically broken — fix or rebuild first. Optimising a site that takes eight seconds to load and fails on mobile is pouring sand into the gears.
Why direct rather than through an agency
In an agency you speak to an account manager who relays your points to a specialist and their answers back to you. With SEO that translation layer hurts particularly badly, because most decisions are technical and detail decides the outcome.
Here you speak to the person doing the work and making the changes in the code. Twenty years of building sites means technical SEO is not a separate discipline to me — it is a consequence of how the site was built in the first place.

Frequently asked questions
My SEO audit starts at $790 and covers technical issues blocking indexing, site structure and internal linking, page speed and Core Web Vitals, content gaps against competitors, and a prioritised list of fixes. You get a concrete to-do list, not a score — and you are free to implement it yourself or with your own team.
Expect first movement in three to six months, and stable positions on competitive terms closer to a year. It goes faster when the site already has history with Google and the work is fixing technical faults. It goes slower on a new domain in a saturated market. Anyone promising page one within a month is either targeting terms nobody searches for, or risking a penalty.
Free automated audits are useful for spotting obvious technical faults, and worth running before you pay anyone. What they cannot do is judge whether the terms you rank for are the ones that bring customers, or how you compare against the specific competitors in your market. That judgement is what a paid audit buys.
